Teen Scuba Camp is a week of fun-filled activities working towards scuba certification.
Students work through the basics of scuba diving using the PADI Open Water Diver course to achieve scuba certification. This certification is valid for life. During camp, students learn about conservation and becoming environmentally conscious divers.
What is included?

Wetsuits, hoods, and gloves are provided depending on the season and water temperature.
What is not included?

Entrance Fee to Windy Point Scuba Park - $15 per person, per day of Open Water Certification Dives (2 days)

You need to provide your own personal dive gear - mask (tempered glass), fins, boots, and snorkel. 10% in-store student discount available.
Teen Camp Session runs Monday-Friday
Students must read all chapters of the course manual and answer all knowledge reviews at the end of each chapter before the first day of class
The start time each day is 9 a.m.
Monday-Wednesday
Meet at Dive World Austin

End of class Wednesday-students will take all scuba gear home so that they can meet the class at Windy Point Park Thursday morning, at 9 a.m.

Friday, Dive World Austin will provide pizza for lunch

Students/parents will return to Dive World Austin on Thursday for tank refills and Friday for gear returns, paperwork, and pictures.
FAQs
Is there homework?
Yes! Each student will receive a course manual. Read all FIVE chapters and answer the knowledge reviews associated with each chapter BEFORE the first day of class.
What happens if I don't finish the work?
Don't let that happen. Our camps fill up quickly and it may be difficult to get you into a different class, plus you don't want your parents paying a rescheduling fee, do you?
What makes camp different from a regular class?
Camps provide the added benefit of learning to dive with your peers. This makes for a lot of fun during camp and can provide built-in dive buddies for future dives. Camps also provide an additional day of confined-water skills practice which makes students more proficient in their open-water checkout dives.
Is transportation to and from the lake included?
No. You will be required to transport your teen to and from the lake on the Thursday and Friday of camp.
Where can we get the required equipment?
All camp participants receive a 10% in-store discount from the time of registration through the completion of camp. Campers must have a mask, fins, boots, and snorkel PRIOR to the start of camp.

During this weeklong camp, teens work to achieve THREE certifications: Advanced Open Water plus Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialty plus Nitrox Specialty.
Two days at Dive World Austin for skill work in the pool and theory review in the classroom. Three days at the lake - at least 6 dives.
Camp attendees will earn their AOW, PPB, and EANX certifications!
Read the Diver Medical Form carefully to determine if you need a physician's approval to participate in this course.
Camp Cancelation Policy

There is a $75 non-refundable registration fee included in the course price. This can only be refunded if you cancel within 24 hours of your registration

Cancelations before April 15, 2024, will receive a full refund minus the $75 refund registration fee

Cancelations between April 15, 2024 - May 10, 2024, will receive a 50% refund minus the $75 registration fee

No refunds will be given for cancelations after May 10, 2024
