Have you always wondered what it’s like to breathe underwater? If you want to try scuba diving, but aren’t quite ready to take the plunge into a certification course, Discover Scuba Diving is for you.
Jump in our indoor, heated pool and try scuba! While this is NOT a scuba certification course, Discover Scuba Diving is a quick and easy introduction to what it takes to explore the underwater world.
To sign up for a PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience you must be at least 10 years old. No prior experience with scuba diving is necessary, but you need to be in reasonable physical health.
Under 10 years old? Don't fret! There is a program for 8 - 10-year-olds that is exactly like Discover Scuba Diving called the PADI Bubblemaker.
Sign up for a Dive World Austin Open Water Course within six months of taking your Discover Scuba Diving experience, and we will take $50.00 off off the Open Water Course option you choose.
Read the Diver Medical Form carefully to determine if you need a physician's approval to participate in this course.

What scuba gear will I need and use?
Dive World Austin provides all the basic scuba gear you will use including a mask, snorkel, fins, regulator, buoyancy control device, dive gauges and a tank.

Every student receives a Discover Scuba Diving Participant Guide that explains the experience and lets you pre-study the safety rules and skill techniques we will review with you.
