Service Description

Although most scuba dives are made with a buddy, an experienced diver may want or need to make dives without a partner. During the Self-Reliant Diver course, you learn about the potential risks of diving alone and the value of equipment redundancy and necessary back-up gear. During three scuba dives, you develop skills for self-reliance and independence, while becoming a stronger partner in a dive pair or team. This course is open to divers who are: At least 18 years old. Certified as PADI Advanced Open Water Diver or equivalent. Have a minimum of 100 logged dives Able to either answer NO to all questions on the standard Medical History Form or secure a physician’s approval prior to the start of class. Highly recommended certified as PADI Rescue Diver or equivalent.

Cancellation Policy

Contact the store at least 14 days before the first day of class to avoid a rescheduling fee. There are no refunds for the course once it has begun, as we have guaranteed payment to our dive professionals. The rescheduling fee varies by course. If you require additional time outside of the scheduled hours needed to complete the course, you may incur additional instructional fees to complete your certification.
