Get your troop SCUBA certified with Dive World Austin!

Why Train with Dive World Austin? 

  1. PADI-trained instructors who specialize in scout training and have in-depth knowledge of Sea Base procudures. 

  2. Scout classes scheduled specifically for your troop. 

  3. Complimentary Troop Orientation: We come to you with information on training, gear and paperwork! Why? We want your troop set up for success with a good knowledge of both open water certifciaton and going to Sea Base. 

  4. Custom Gear Fitting and Custom Scout Gear Package. We will fit you for personal dive gear - mask, snorkel, fins, dive boots - AND bundle them at a GREAT bundled price. 

  5. Training Options. Your troop can choose to complete academics via traditional course manual or eLearning. 

    • Traditional course manual - read the course manual and answer knowledge reviews in the book before your first session with us. Then you will review the course materials with your instructor on the first two training days before practicing scuba skills in the pool. You will take in-person, written quizzez and a written final exam with the instructor. Classroom time 8 am - 1:30 pm; Pool training time 2:00 pm- 7:00 pm​

    • ELearning - complete the Open Water eLearning modules online including quizzes and final exams before your first session with us. Then you will complete a quick-review quiz at your first session before moving straight to practicing scuba skills in the pool. Pool triang time 8 am - 2:00 pm 

  6. ​Smaller Class Sizes. We cap each open water class at six students. ​

We also offer snorkeling courses and Merit Badge counseling for scuba and snorkeling.

Fun Fact

Seth, owner of Dive World Austin, got scuba certified to attend Sea Base with his oldest son. He did a second Sea Base tour with son number 2. Those trips got him hooked on Scuba and he now owns Dive World Austin!
