You have two coursework choices for Open Water Certification: Traditional Classroom Learning or online/eLearning.
Traditional Open Water Course/Classroom Learning Cost: $399 (see details below)
Cost: $450 (see details/options below)
Note: Make time for homework! Enroll at least one week prior to class. This will allow for adequate time to complete all training materials.
This is a classic approach of conducting the development training in the dive center's classroom using hard copies of the training materials. Our weekend classes allow you to complete your scuba certification in two consecutive weekends. The first weekend (or two days if a weekday course) consists of classroom and pool instruction (8:00 AM- 6:00 PM). On the second weekend (or final two days if a weekday course), you head to Lake Travis for your open water training dives (8:00 AM- 2:00 PM).
Online Learning/PADI eLearning
PADI eLearning means the classroom portion of work is completed in the comfort of your own home, at your own pace using study tools that integrate text, images, and video into interactive learning experiences through a mobile device or computer. Note: a WiFi connection is required to download the application and to upload your final results.
After completing the eLearning coursework portion of certification, choose one of three options to complete your water sessions which include both confined-water training and open-water check-out dives.
eLearning Option A:
Attend a scheduled Tuesday/Thursday & Saturday/Sunday water session
Description: Tues/Thurs. confined-water sessions are from 6-10 pm. Sat./Sun open water dive sessions (4 total dives) typically start at 8 am at the lake.
eLearning Option B:
Attend a double-weekend water session
Description: two consecutive weekends. Weekend one: confined-water training. Weekend two: open water dive sessions.
The store will notify you of class time upon registration. Contact the Store to Register
eLearning Option C:
