Service Description

This is a two-consecutive weekend course. The Traditional Open Water course is great for those who want some classroom time with the instructor to review dive theory before taking the final exam and for those who like a physical book. Traditional Open Water students must read the course manual and answer the knowledge reviews at the end of each chapter BEFORE the first day of class. You will have classroom time with your instructor before taking the written final exam. Weekend One: Saturday: 8 am-12:00 pm classroom (review of academic material) followed by 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm confined water skills (pool session) Sunday: 8 am-12:00 pm classroom (more review then take final exam) followed by 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm confined water skills (pool session) Weekend Two: Saturday: Open Water certification dives 1 and 2 ("check-out" dives) Sunday: 2 Open Water certification dives 3 and 4 ("check-out" dives)

Cancellation Policy

Contact the store at least 14 days before the first day of class to avoid a rescheduling fee. There are no refunds for the course once it has begun, as we have guaranteed payment to our dive professionals. The rescheduling fee varies by course. If you require additional time outside of the scheduled hours needed to complete the course, you may incur additional instructional fees to complete your certification.
