Service Description

As a divemaster, you'll supervise scuba diving activities and assist with scuba classes. PADI Divemaster is the first step in your diving career. Working closely with a PADI Instructor, you’ll fine-tune your dive skills, and refine your rescue skills in order to anticipate and easily solve common problems. You’ll gain dive knowledge, management, and supervision abilities so you become a role model to divers everywhere. Whether you want to work at a faraway dive destination or close to home at Dive World Austin, the adventure of a lifetime awaits you. PADI Divemasters are respected dive professionals who are aligned with the largest and most respected dive organization in the world.​ Pre-Requisites: ​ 18 years old A PADI Advanced Open Water Diver (or qualifying certification from another training organization) A PADI Rescue Diver (or qualifying certification from another training organization) An Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care (or qualifying first aid and CPR training from another organization) course completion within the past 24 months Have at least 40 dives to begin the course and 60 for certification Be fit for diving and submit a Diver Medical form What is included?​ Tanks/Air Fills Weights Certification Crew Packs Divemaster e-learning Instruction Fees NOT included: Personal dive gear: mask, snorkel, fins, dive boots. Scuba gear: BCD, regulator, dive computer, wetsuit, hood, gloves, or any additional gear not listed above. (At this level of certification it is strongly encouraged that the divemaster candidate owns their own gear. DWA offers pro gear packages available in-store as well as a 10% student discount available on individual gear purchases PADI Pre-Divemaster application fee PADI final Divemaster application fee Insurance-Discounted insurance for pros who teach at DWA Entrance fees for any and all training open water dates

Cancellation Policy

Contact the store at least 14 days before the first day of class to avoid a rescheduling fee. There are no refunds for the course once it has begun, as we have guaranteed payment to our dive professionals. The rescheduling fee varies by course. If you require additional time outside of the scheduled hours needed to complete the course, you may incur additional instructional fees to complete your certification.
