As of today, Dive World Austin has certified 3 generations of my family:  me, my son, George Searcy, and my granddaughter, Shai Anne Searcy.

I won’t say how old I was when I certified, but my son was 25 and we trained together.  This week was my granddaughter’s turn – she just turned 10.  We have been so pleased with the quality of the instructors … Doug Faulkner showed the patience of a saint in training my granddaughter this week!  She was thrilled to fill in her first dive log with her Junior Open Water checkout dives.  And it was great fun for me and my son to dive along with her at Aquarena Springs – we didn’t miss a grin or a squeal and I got to take pictures of each step.
